We’ll show you, how to install Softaculous in cPanel. Softaculous is an auto installer which allows you to install 350+ great scripts on your server. By using Softaculous<\/a> you can install WordPress, Joomla, Drupal, PrestaShop, Magento etc. within seconds. It can be installed on a Linux VPS<\/a> with WHM\/cPanel, DirectAdmin,\u00a0Plesk,\u00a0InterWorx and\u00a0H-Sphere control panel. Installing\u00a0Softaculous in cPanel is an easy task if you carefully follow our tutorial bellow.<\/p>\n


\nBefore we start, make sure that your server meets the following requirements:<\/p>\n

* WHM\/cPanel is installed
\n* ionCube Loader is enabled<\/p>\n

We offer WHM\/cPanel as an additional option to our Linux VPS hosting plans. Just make sure that you select a CentOS VPS<\/a> when you make an order\u00a0since the WHM\/cPanel requires CentOS to be installed as an operating system on your VPS.<\/p>\n

Once your VPS is ready and the WHM\/cPanel is installed, you need to enable ionCube Loader. To enable ionCube Loader you need to log in to your WHM as root and navigate to\u00a0Server Configuration > Tweak Settings > PHP. Check ionCube as\u00a0cPanel PHP loader and click on the Save button. That’s it.<\/p>\n

Now you are ready to install Softaculous auto installer on your VPS.<\/p>\n

Log in to your VPS via SSH and execute the following commands one by one:<\/p>\n

wget -N http:\/\/files.softaculous.com\/install.sh\nchmod 755 install.sh\n.\/install.sh<\/pre>\n
After the installation is completed, Softaculous will become enabled in your WHM. Log in to your WHM and navigate to Plugins > Softaculous – Instant Installs. As you can see, Softaculous is enabled and can be used by your cPanel clients. They can log in to their cPanel accounts and use the one-click installer to install their favorite applications.
\nOne thing that is very important is that Softaculous is not free of charge. You can use the trial license but it is not recommended since Softaculous will be available to your clients only for a limited period of time. If you like to have a Premium type of Softaculous license you can sign up for our Linux VPS hosting<\/a> services and select Softaculous as an additional option. The Premium license will cost you only $1 per month. Also, if you select this option, please note that our admins will install Softaculous on your server for you.<\/p>\n
