Mark Shuttleworth, the founder of Ubuntu, has announced the codename for the upcoming release. Ubuntu 12.10 will be called Quantal Quetzal.
In his blog post, Mark Shuttleworth gave reasoning behind the codename for the Ubuntu 12.10 release. He says he will focus on quality.
Quality comes from focus and clarity of purpose, it comes from careful design and rigorous practices.
Ubuntu 12.04 LTS “Precise Pangolin” is scheduled for release on 26 April 2012.
We plan to support both versions on our Linux virtual servers here at RoseHosting.com. Once they are publicly available, they pass our extensive testing for their reliability in a virtual server environment. Once we start offering them, they will be announced on our blog as well as the Ubuntu VPS page.
